It's been great watching so many teams compete across our 16 divisions this Spring. As we approach the playoffs, please be advised that matchups will be regularly updated on nycbbl.com/playoffs, with games being posted as seedings are adjusted daily.

It is important to understand that there are significant constraints on accommodating every team's preferences. Playoff scheduling does not adhere to priority scheduling, meaning your team will likely need to play at the designated time according to the bracket, unless I can offer flexibility. In short, playoff scheduling are firm unless subjected to gym schedule changes or blackouts

This approach helps prevent scheduling conflicts for other teams that have arranged their games around the playoffs. Predicting playoff match ups in advance is challenging, and they may not be finalized until the very last game of the season, so please plan accordingly and keep up-to-date on the standings

As we reach the midpoint of the season, divisional balancing and schedule adjustments have been made league-wide. I will complete one final review next week before releasing the final week of the regular season schedule.

This is also the final reminder to submit any specific scheduling preferences for the final week of the regular season and potential playoff dates. While accommodations may be made when possible, they are not guaranteed. If your team does not list blackout dates within your team settings, I may not be able to accommodate future scheduling requests.

Please note that any requests to reschedule playoff games after the playoff bracket has been released will likely be denied.

Additionally, priority scheduling applies only to the regular season and does not extend into playoffs. I will continue to do my best to accommodate reasonable requests whenever possible, while also considering the impact on other teams and their schedules.

Tentative playoff brackets are expected to be released within the coming week and will be readily available once they are live by visiting nycbbl.com/playoffs

The schedule is currently updated through June 13th, with the regular season expected to conclude by June 20th. Preliminary playoff rounds are tentatively scheduled to run from the week of June 22nd through June 30th. If applicable, quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship rounds will take place following the Fourth of July holidays beginning the week of July 6th.

As we approach the end of the regular season, please note there have been a few minor scheduling updates. We encourage all players and teams to regularly review their upcoming games to ensure they have the most up-to-date schedule information.

Please be advised that there will be no games hosted over Memorial Day Weekend next Saturday on May 23rd. All Saturday League games will resume on Saturday May 30th. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

On Saturday June 6th, games will start at 3:00 PM due to a private programming from the school.

As we reach the midpoint of the season, divisional balancing and schedule adjustments have been made league-wide. I will complete one final review in the next couple of weeks before releasing the last portion of the regular season schedule.

The schedule is currently updated through March 14, with the regular season expected to conclude around March 28.

Play-in games and the first round of playoffs will begin the week of April 2. This is your final reminder to submit any scheduling preferences via Team Settings for the remainder of the regular season. Please note that priority scheduling applies only to the regular season, not playoffs. I will try my best to accommodate any preferences when possible. The playoff schedule and bracket will be released soon.

I hope you all had a great experience in the league this season. While it was a bit discouraging to see a large number of forfeits, I completely understand that this is a corporate work league and many participants are balancing demanding work schedules. Your continued participation and effort are truly appreciated.

Given all of this, I will certainly take these experiences into account and look to improve the overall experience should we run another corporate league in the future. With that in mind, I wanted to share that the playoffs will officially begin next week. There are still a couple of regular season games to be completed today and tomorrow, which will finalize the remaining matchups.

Matchups for next week have already been updated, with Level 2 and Level 3 now finalized. Level 1 and Level 4 matchups will be finalized and posted no later than Friday morning.

Please note that, as the season has already been extended multiple times, these playoff dates are firm. 

All four levels will have their divisional championship games on 2/24/26 followed by the PwC Cup on 2/26/26. 

The winner of the two PwC Cup games will face off at the Barclays Center on the Main Court in March. I am closing in and finalizing on a date as we speak.

Rosters are now locked. Only active PwC employees are eligible to participate in this league. Teams considering adding players during the upcoming playoffs should be aware that this may result in automatic forfeits. Substitute players are strictly prohibited in the playoffs, and any team found in violation will incur an automatic loss. To be eligible for the playoffs, all players must have participated in at least three (3) regular season games, unless a work-related/medical exemption applies. This is to prevent unfair advantages to a single elimination playoff game. 

Players are strongly encouraged to wear their NYCBBL jerseys during the playoffs. Players who do not have their NYCBBL jerseys can be subjected to technical fouls at the start of the game.

As you enter the facilities, we kindly ask that you be mindful of tracking in slush or salt from outside whenever possible. Please avoid stepping onto the gym floor with your outside shoes.

I wanted to share a few important updates as we dive into this MASSIVE Winter season next week. As of now, registrations are officially CLOSED, in which we’re excited to welcome what is shaping up to be a record-breaking season with 193 (!!!) teams participating this Winter.

Because each team has unique scheduling preferences and constraints, it is going take me a little extra time to finalize the complete the schedule. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. As per usual, I can only accomodate your team's requests if you keep your scheduling preferences up-to-date. To do this, please visit nycbbl.com/roster and edit Team Settings.

Additionally, please note that there have been several scheduling and divisional balance adjustments across the league. As a result, your team may be placed in a new division and could see minor schedule changes in the coming weeks. This is a normal part of the early season, and we anticipate there may be one more round of division adjustments before the season concludes.

For any new teams that recently signed up in the past week, your team will not likely be on the schedule until the week of 1/26/26. This is due to the on-going PwC League that is still happening, in addition to MLK Day (1/19) being a blackout date across the league. Please be patient as I work on getting your team slotted into the schedule.

For those new to the league, team jerseys will be available at your first scheduled game. We kindly ask that one team member collects and takes home any remaining jerseys, as we’re unable to store any leftover belongings at school facilities.

Hi everyone,

Thank you again to everyone at PwC for participating in the NYC Basketball League. I hope you’ve had a great experience so far. The PwC league is officially on break until January 5th, 2026.

The schedule for the first two weeks of January has been updated. The final week of the regular season (Week 9) will take place the week of January 19, 2026, with all remaining regular season games being played during that time. 

The playoffs are scheduled to officially begin the week of January 26th. Playoff brackets will be released in the next week and you can visit nycbbl.com/playoffs once it's released.

Please continue to monitor your playoff brackets closely, as your team may be scheduled to play next week. Brackets will be updated daily as we progress further into the playoffs.

As mentioned separately in the general playoff email, scheduling during the playoffs can be unpredictable, and priority scheduling does not apply. A reschedule may only be considered if the opposing team agrees and if schedule availability permits. Typically, the deeper we get into the playoffs, the more flexible scheduling becomes and the higher the likelihood that a reschedule request can be accommodated.
