Greetings all,
Please be advised that the opening rounds of the play-in tournament and Round 1 of the playoffs have been updated and uploaded for next week (week of 12/1)
Kindly review your team’s schedule and bracket, as the following divisions may be scheduled to play twice within the same week:
- 2018 LEBRON
- 2001 SHAQ
- 2009 KOBE
- 2016 STEPH
- 2003 GARNETT
- 2005 DUNCAN
- 2012 LEBRON
- 2023 JOKIC
- 2005 KOBE
- 95 HAKEEM
If you notice any discrepancies between your schedules and brackets, please do not hesitate to reach out so I can verify the game details on my end. If you do not see a game on your schedule or dashboards, please reach out to me immediately.
For teams with a BYE next week, games for the week of 12/8 will be uploaded later this week.
Please continue to monitor your playoff brackets closely, as your team may be scheduled to play next week. Brackets will be updated daily as we progress further into the playoffs.
As mentioned separately in the general playoff email, scheduling during the playoffs can be unpredictable, and priority scheduling does not apply. A reschedule may only be considered if the opposing team agrees and if schedule availability permits. Typically, the deeper we get into the playoffs, the more flexible scheduling becomes and the higher the likelihood that a reschedule request can be accommodated.
Thank you for your understanding.

Greetings everyone,
I hope this message finds you well
I wanted to share a few important updates as we head into the Fall season. I will be finalizing and closing team registrations by the end of today and we’re excited to welcome what is shaping up to be a record-breaking season with 180 teams participating this fall.
Because each team has unique scheduling preferences and constraints, it will take me a little extra time to finalize the complete schedule. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.
Additionally, please note that there have been several scheduling and divisional balance adjustments across the league. As a result, your team may be placed in a new division and could see minor schedule changes in the coming weeks. This is a normal part of the early season, and we anticipate there may be one more round of division adjustments before the season concludes.
For those new to the league, team jerseys will be available at your first scheduled game. We kindly ask that one team member collects and takes home any remaining jerseys, as we’re unable to store any leftover belongings at school facilities.
To RSVP for your upcoming games, please visit your team dashboard or go directly to:
Lastly, I’ll be sending out a General FAQ email to all participants by the end of day tomorrow to help answer common questions as the season gets underway.
Thank you for being a part of the NYC Basketball League. We’re excited for another great season ahead!

Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well.
I have returned from a brief hiatus during which I made some adjustments to various divisions. It has come to my attention that a few teams required essential tweaks and re-balancing to align with the new divisions.
With that said, I now have a clearer understanding of our September schedule across all gyms, and I have implemented some minor changes to the upcoming schedule as well. To view your schedules, please remember to visit nycbbl.com/team or nycbbl.com/matchup
Should you have any inquiries regarding this, please feel free to contact me via email at dicky@nycsportsleagues.com.
I aim to finalize the rest of the regular season schedule by the end of the day tomorrow (Friday 8/22). Any cancellations or postponed games will also be updated in the portal by early next week, if not already.
Playoff schedule will be released by next week, followed by a league-wide FAQ email concerning the playoffs, formats, and rules. The playoffs are anticipated to commence during the week of September 15th.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Greetings everyone,
As Week 2 continues, I will be reassessing a lot of the results from some of these games, in particular teams that joined the league for the first time.
At the start of every season, it's not uncommon for teams to have a couple of lopsided box scores given the nature of not knowing where they truly belong in terms of skill levels.
That being said, adjustments and divisional changes will be made across the league and should reflect a more fun, fair, and competitive balance across all divisions from Advanced through Beginner Casual.

Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well.
This is a general PSA to all teams playing at all of our gyms. Because of the snow, slushy conditions outside, please be mindful that you are not directly walking onto our gym floors with your outside shoes.
There have been noticeable complaints about the floors being more slippery than usual because the salt, dirt, and other residue from outside have been transferred over to the gym floors.
To avoid this, we strongly advise you not to wear your outside shoes onto the actual court. Please change into your gear either in the locker rooms, restrooms, baselines, or by any private vestibule away from the public.
All maintenance teams at various gyms have been informed of the slippery conditions and they will act accordingly to clean the courts.
Thank you for your understanding!
Best regards,
